About Lucky House Chinese Takeaway
There has been a Chinese takeaway here at the Orchard shops for over 20 years. But in May, 2012, a terrible fire threatened to put an end to that long tradition when it all but destroyed the entire shopping parade.
Businesses lost in the blaze included a pizza shop, a hairdressers, an Indian restaurant, a pharmacy, a fish & chip shop and, of course, the Chinese takeaway.
All these businesses were much loved by the people of Eaglescliffe, but lamented most of all was the loss of the Chinese takeaway. During two long years of rebuilding, many residents feared it would never return and that the smell of delicious Chinese food would now be a thing of the past at Orchard shops..
Enter Lucky House, the exciting new Chinese takeaway that has risen from the ashes to continue the tradition of serving best Cantonese, Thai, Peking and English food to the people of Eaglescliffe and surrounding areas.
